TV wiring
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the TV signals in the 2006 3400RL?
I'm trying to get the dvd player located above the main TV to send a signal to the bedroom TV.

Here is a generic concept of the TV cable wiring.
You would need to insert your DVD player where the loop cable is. So the output of the DVD goes to the bedroom then is rebroadcast to both bedroom and entertainment center. Drawing says satellite dish but is the same for DVD too.
Remember to treat the DVD signal the same as cable. Meaning you turn off the "green" light so the signal from the antenna does not interfere or block the DVD signal.

Thank you for posting this diagram. I have an 06 3400 (just purchased) which was setup for sat reception. I see in the bedroom closet a cable connection (2 black & one grey co-ax in, one cable outlet, one 12v female power & an on/off switch). What I cannot find is the cable jumper described in your diagram. ("jumper only needed when cable is in use") Is the power to the 'booster" off for cable? (Booster used only with roof antenna?)If this helps, in the living room I have 3 cables connections labled #1, #2, & #3. 1 & 2 are on the same wall plate.
Thank you for your help.

The plate with the "jumper" is always located near the living room TV in the pre-2010 model. If there are three coax connectors I suspect the previous owner has changed the default setup. You may want to test the cables to see where they go.

Yours is like mine not like the diagram. One and two on the same wall plate is where the jumper would be. You have to figure out which is the incoming line from outside and which goes back to the bedroom. Number 3 on a single outlet is from the bedroom which should have a splitter on it where one side goes to the TV and one side goes to the FM antenna. Also if you are running a Dual receiver you have to run the satellite signal from the wall thru a Diplexer which splits the signal into 2 lines that goes into the receiver then TV #2 out to the wall plate to go back to the bedroom so you can watch a different channel and you can control the bedroom TV, with TV #1 going to the livingroom TV. The line coming in with the FM signal still goes to the stereo and the other side goes to the 'over the air antenna in' connection on the receiver. Yeah it's confusing but I can control both TV's separately and the DVR works and all over the Montana's internal wiring.

Thank you for this info. If I understand you - for cable use only - I jump one & two & three feeds the living rm TV ? And I would split the output from #3 to feed an FM receiver ?
Many thx for your help.

John,
This diagram is exactly what I was looking for also (I think). I have never used our tv's with the antenna and need to hook up a digital converter. If I don't care if both tv's are on the same channel at the same time can I hook it up to where the antenna comes in, in the top bedroom? Will this take care of both TV/s? Some guy said there was a converter you could hook up to the antenna itself. Not so sure about that.
