REMOTE

getting ready tonight for our first voyage in our new 2010 montana. and the remote quite working. i hadn't used the remote in a while. i did the reset and then security light came on but i had waited and waited and it wouldn't turn off so i unhooked the battery so the security light would go back off. reset the control panel to the remote waited for the red light to come on but remote is still not working. any help would be appreciated.

Check the battery in the remote? Sometimes a low battery can cause erratic issues.

As rames14 said, check or replace the battery in the remote and carry an extra in the rig.

I don't think the security light will turn off by itself...I think you would need to turn it off with the remote.

The last time I tried to reset/reprogram, I could not get the red light on the receiver to come either. I physically disconnected the house battery for 30 minutes or so and then tried again and everything worked and is working fine.

One last thing, I did have problems with the remote system when we first got the rig (intermittent operation) and the receiver was replaced under warranty, so that may be an option too.
