Diesel prices

Louise and I are planning an outing as soon as she retires in 2 weeks. Based on those diesel prices in Iowa, Minnesota and S.D, we may be heading towards the Black Hills and beyond. Oh yea, prices are holding here at 467.9-479.9

I paid $5.09 per gallon here in Fairbanks today. It is the lowest diesel price I have seen since leaving Montana at the end of May.

On our way up here to Chocorua Village Campground, NH, we saw a SHELL station just outside of Manchester with Diesel for $3.71 a gallon. Unfortunately it was on the opposite side and not easy to get to and I did not really need fuel yet.

I'll sure be looking today and I think it will be close to the $5 mark.

Wayne, are you sure it was still open? I had the same experience with a Mobil but it was closed as in out of business.

Thursday, Diesel was available for 4.97 in Anchorage, AK at Carrs/Safeway and 5.59 in Seward, AK. If you are traveling south in Alaska, get fuel in Anchorage or Girdwood before hitting the Kenai

Wow,diesel was only $4.40 on the Kansas Turnpike. We expected it to be alot higher. The cost to travel the entire turnpike from Emporia Kansas to Whicita was only $11.00.

It cost us $9.00 to travel the 20 mile toll road from north Austin to north of Georgetown.

Yes, they were open.

And TODAY, I drove South on Hwy 16 here in NH because we just wanted to sightsee in that direction. At the intersection of 25 & 16 there was a Mobil station with Diesel at $4.89. Couldn't pass it up.

Well, if it were not for bad luck, I would not have any luck at all. Filled up for $108, pulled out and 1/4 mile down the road was a Shell station with Diesel for $4.65.

Go figure!

I really haven't filled up since coming back from our long Memorial weekend campout, about 20 miles north. I'm still hovering around 3/4 full but keep watching the diesel prices hold steady. We are going away again for the 4th of July and will fill up tomorrow at 469.9 before the hoiday increase.

Topped off prior to our tow to PA . Diesel at 4.679. It has been steady at 4.899 for awhile but over the last few days has dropped some...?????

Here in Eugene Oregon at the Fred & Meyer with the Rewards card for 10 cents off the price is 4.81 for diesel. I think that is down 2 cents from a week ago.

It's not diesel, but today we rode Mt. Washington and was able to fill up at the State Park (Gasoline) at $2.999 for regular. Typically $75 to fill up and at that price it was $45. Wish I could find diesel at that low of a price again.

In Washburn, WI diesel dropped 10 cents to $4.70 while gas remains at $4.08.

Cookeville TN we saw cheapest gas for $3.84. Diesel have been seeing around $4.69.

Today we head back to Michigan. Prices have been about 20 to 40 cents higher there than what we are seeing on the road.

Stopped by Ft Campbell Ky. and Diesel was $4.53. But hang on boys and girls it will go up............ Rv park here is 70% full, several live here and lots of Construction workers. GBY....

Yesterday I filled up for 467.9 and my camping buddy called to tell me that there was a station 2 miles north of where we're going for the weekend, selling diesel for 459.9. He's going to wait until we go up there. I hope he checks the price that morning, LOL.

Flying J Route 81 Gibson Exit #219- NE PA - Gas is $3.979 and Diesel is $4.719

Diesel is starting back up in the Phoenix area after dropping back for the last two weeks. Flying J is 5 cents higher today than it was yesterday. $4.629 for big trucks and 4.549 for cars & RV's.
