I carry 4 ton bottle jack with several 4x4 's for cribbing. I used it for the first time earlier on this trip and it worked great.

I carry 12 ton and 6 ton bottle jacks, but prefer to use the hydraulic leveling system for routine lifting of the trailer for maintenance and tire replacement. I have occasionally had to use the bottle jacks if we are in a bad location where the hydraulic system will not work. When using either method, it is advised to not put yourself in a dangerous position where a failure in either system would cause injury or death, just like with any other vehicle maintenance. I try not to use cribbing as it can be hazardous, but I carry and use a kit like this with my bottle jacks. https://safejacks.com/collections/bo...ut-bottle-jack

I do the same as Bob states above. I also carry 6 ton bottle jack. If I have a flat on the rear of my truck I can lift the truck without disconnecting from the trailer.

I also use the hydraulic levelers and don't carry a jack as they are too heavy and I also have road service not to mention I'm very lazy too.

12 ton bottle jack with 6 pieces of 2x6x12 inches for support as needed. Also have a very good road side service - I use Coach Net--never been "let down" by these professionals. Also a 4x6 piece of carpet to cover the work area under the 5er.

I carry a 12T low version jack from Harbor Freight. Works well for my needs and with the lower profile, I make sure that it will fit. I also have 2x8 boards along with 4x4x16 if I need cribbing for some reason

Bottle Jack

I carry a 12 ton that I purchased from Auto Zone, and I also cut up a 12 x 2 and made 14" tall cribbing so the bottle jack can lift the axle high enough. I have MorRyde leaf springs that drop the axle being jacked by an extra 3". The jack point is on a reinforced section on the frame and the only thing that can get in there is a bottle jack. Funny story. I called CW to ask them what they sold for jacks for the 5er and they said nothing. "That's why we give you roadside assistance when you bought your trailer."

I carry 8 and 6 ton jacks with 2x6 & 2x4 for cribbing.

I added a new tool to my basement as well. A new 18 volt Ryobi impact wrench! I replaced all of the brakes on both axles (backing plates) and treated myself to a new tool with the $$$ I saved doing the work myself. The Ryobi will remove the lugs on the second of three settings. The battery level did not even go down from full after removing and replacing all 4 wheels.

Loosen nuts before jacking. Use levelers on the flat side and a bottle jack for the flat tire axial. Good luck!

My traveling rig does not have the luxury of auto leveling....but I will compare our new DRV (that we live in) to any of y’all!

Wish I did have the leveling on our Monty...

No auto level on mine. Carry a 12 ton bottle jack. Some of the smaller ones have rather small lifting pads.
