Va Beach, VA
Can anybody reccomend any cg's in the area? We are looking to head there for a week in the begining of November.
What activities are going on at that time?

We've stayed at the Holiday Trav-L-Park on General Booth Blvd. in Virginia Beach. It's not on the ocean but they have a trolley that will take you to the beach or if you prefer to drive in to town they also have their own parking lot in town for you to park in. It was probably about 5 or 6 years ago when we went but it was a very nice campground. They have four swimming pools, friendly workers, great weekend happenings and nice size lots.

We have been to Virgina Beach a couple of times and absolutly loved the area. We flew there and stayed in motels on the beach, but plan on going back in our RV in a couple of years (after we retire), Would really like to know how your trip goes and where you end up staying. Please let us all know when you get back. Can't wait to go back ourselves.

I sent an email to a good friend of ours who stayed in that area this past summer. They really enjoyed their location...I'll pass along the name of the Campground when I hear from them. Shouldn't be too long.

Got the info. The campground that our friends enjoy in the VA Beach area is the Holiday Travel Park. They really enjoy it.
We'll be in Waynesboro, VA this weekend!!! Can't wait. We love it there.
Happy travels.

I'm not sure how practical it would be but I recommend Kiptopeke State Park at Cape Charles VA, just across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel. We are staying there on our roundabout trip back from the Rally. It is a beautiful campground with a beautiful beach on the Chesapeake and the most unusual breakwater formed by 9 concrete liberty ships.
If you will be centered in Virginia Beach Kiptopeke wouldn't work as it will cost you at least $12. every time you cross the bridge. ($20.00) if you are towing your Montana. But on your way back north it is worth a night for sure!
