Well here is where I'm at....I have a new converter on order. When I went back out to the rig to start trouble shooting the grounds all I could get out of the converter was 9.6V. I went ahead and replaced all the grounds anyway and still low voltage. If I switched of the circuit breaker providing power to the converter and then turned it back on, sometimes I would get 14.2 - 14.6V with the battery leads disconnected other times I would get anywhere from 6-9V. So I took John's advice and removed the converter so I could put it on the bench and plug it directly into a 120VAC source by-passing the trailer wiring completely and still could only get about 6-7V out of it. So the converter appears to be toast. I should have the new converter in a few days and will let you know what the outcome is.

I received the replacement converter today and installed it this afternoon. After replacing it, I ran every 12 volt item I could think of and measured consistent output and charging voltage at 13.72VDC. I ran everything for 30 minutes or so and the lights never dimmed and the output voltage remained constant. Turning on AC appliances had no effect. I will continue to check over the next couple of days but it looks like the converter has fixed the problem. Thanks again for all of your inputs during the troubleshooting process.

r,
Jack
