Bedroom slide throwing oil??

Friend of mine has a holiday rambler. bedroom slide is electric, motor underneath bed. No slide topper. Roof is clean. Yet when she opens the slide, a oil like liquid is thrown out, to the point where it has stained the curtains, and even landed on my arm when I was checking. I see nothing on the roof, the seals look ok, electric, so no hydraulic fluid. I can not figure it out. Anybody have any ideas?
