2nd highest fuel price in nation...

After looking at the Flying J web page for diesel prices, I have to say Spokane, Washington has the 2nd highest diesel price at $3.22 a gallon in the nation. The highest is in Pasco, Washington at $3.29 a gallon. Made me laugh that Washington has beat California in the price of diesel fuel. And to think we are at the start of summer....

Its just our way in the West to try and control the population.
Keep fuel prices the highest in North America so no one wants to move out here.

I've seen $3.31 as the high and $2.89 as the low in Prince William County, Northern VA.

Well that means that Spokane no longer has the highest prices in the nation. =) I will have to check the flying j web page again and see how far it has jumped this time.

It is about $3.19 here, but it is higher at some stations. If it was just the fuel price we might be able to adjust. It is what it does to all the other prices that makes it difficult.

3.49 in Nice, CA. I don't think that Ca charges an extra .60 per gallon (2.79 in TX). I think the owners in Ca know that residents are used to paying higher amounts, so they gouge you. What r u gonna do?

I remember that diesel was usually priced at or slightly below the price for regular unleaded. That makes sense, since it's the first "crack" of the crude oil it's made from, and is not much more sophisticated. Wonder why it's priced at or above premium unleaded now, and why the truckers aren't screaming like mashed cats. Remember the 70's, when it went up to the astronomical sum of .85 cents, or some such? There were trucker protests all over the country.

Well, after reading all the gloom and doom reports here on the future of oil, diesel especially, I have lost all interest in RVing. I think I will fill the truck up, park it and cover it and then get the rig cleaned up and put the "For Sale" sign on them both. The way things are going I probably won't even be able to give them away !! Sure I can afford the fuel but it will certainly take a chunk out of my budget to do any travelling.

$3.09 in Onalaska, WIs. We are told the reason for being so high is
the fact that the Irag war takes most of it.

Well exfuzz02 the way we look at it is "you can't take it with you" and I'll be da$&ed if I'll leave it behind. Lorraine and I earned it not our children. They have already been warned that they may have to pay our funeral expenses. We will not give up that easily.
