I put on a message that said "If you are not in my address phone book, I will not answer. Please leave a message".

I haven't had one solicitation call in 5 years.

Ask them if they can hold on a minute and lay the phone down and go do something else. Then Come back in 5 - 10 Minutes and if they are still there ask them nicely if they like there time wasted? Then tell them never call back.

Not a good idea with a cell phone, unless you have unlimited minutes!
