NC Elk

these are pictures that sailer (John & Sharon) have taken of Elk in NC near Waynesville

They look "elky" to me!

Looks like they may be used to humans.

Bet 'cha it's because of humans feeding them.

We are in the Balsam area of NC next to Waynesville at about 3200 ft. The area being developed above us up to about 5500 ft is called Balsam Preserve and the Black bears are moving. We had a female on our deck last night about 6' wt at about 250 lbs by estimate. No elk but some new does.

Dennis, Judy its very beautiful where you are at, this whole part of NC is beautiful country.This is our favorite "summer" home! we'll be here for a month before moving on. take care
