New 2018 Montana Owner Are You Good With The 3 Year Factory Warranty
Have a brand new 2018 montana high country 375fl. My question is, are you good with just the 3 year keystone factory warranty for the first 3 years without an extended warranty plan? So basically was wondering, get the extended warranty plan now or wait the 3 years until your factory warranty expires to purchase the extended warraty plan? Thought, comments on what everybody else is doing with there new montana purchase with the extended warranties, buy now or wait the 3 years to buy? Is keystone covering everything on these for the first three years? Is anyone having issues with keystone honoring there warranties?

Welcome to the MOC family from Washington St! I did not buy any extended warranty we have a lifetime warranty through the dealer we baut are 5er from for a/c, frig, w/h, electric & furnace. But I do all my own work I would only go to the dealer if I had major problem don't like the way they work they take way to long and just through parts at till it works sometimes.

Welcome to the forum. I only buy extended warranties part of the time and never buy until my primary warranty is getting ready to expire - why pay for time you don't need it. I also don't buy from the dealer but go to one of the aftermarket companies where you typically get a better deal.

No extended here.
I know I can do better quality work in way less time, it won't be going back unless there is a major problem.

I also do all our work unless a major appliance fails.

Our dealer told us to come in before the 1 year anniversary to purchase an extended warranty if we decided on one . Why 1 year ? Like this post said , should be 3 year .

IF I'm not mistaken, the warranty is for 1 year that is EVERYTHING ....then the next 2 years of warranty covers only the frame and body of the coach, not the appliances and other things inside the coach.
If thats incorrect, someone please correct me.

We didn’t purchase extended warranty. I have virtually no tool box experience. After reading the numerous nightmares involved with leaving your rig for sometimes months for repairs, I figured I would roll the dice. If anything breaks, my plan is to pay a repair guy to come fix it. We purchased from Camping World due to price. My lake lot where I keep it is about 5 miles from a local good ole boy dealer. He carries Keystones, but not the Montana Line. I have gotten to know him, and I know he will service my Fiver if I need repairs. If he would have carried the Montana Line I would have paid extra just to buy it from him. I have come to despise Camping World, like many others, due to poor quality service. Personally my opinion...extended warranties are not cost efficient.

BTW...we had our fridge replaced....$2100....it was covered but that would be a big hit with out a warranty .

we have purchased extended warranty's on all 4 of past rigs, It has paid for itself, breakdowns on the road, they covered the 2 days at Disney World campground until the parts came in, they fixed it onsite. I do most the work, but in our current rig the slide out has to be removed to replace the residential fridge, little bit above my tool box range

Remember extended warranties start from the purchase date of the 5er not the date you purchase the extended warranty. Don't be fooled into thinking its not so. Ask that question to the dealer.
Its sad how SLOW service on these things are. I took mine in for a major repair and they had it for 2 months before they looked at it .I had a appointment which means not much. LOL

Extended warranties are not all the same, different folks write them with different start options. Having double coverage during your regular warranty period is a waste. Would always look at aftermarket brokers vice a dealer for a better value.
