Low water pressure in Kitchen
Sometime in the past I read where someone on the MOC had low water pressure at the kitchen sink. They removed some regulator or restrictor in the system to correct this problem, I have 3000RK and very low pressure at kitchen, OK in rest of unit. I always check campground pressure before hooking up to see if I need to use my pressure regulator or not. What do I need to do to improve water pressure in the kitchen? Thanks in advance for your help. Len

First thing I would look for is debris behind the screen on your kitchen faucet. I had this problem in the bathroom.

Leanord,
Not sure what year Montana you have, but ours had a flow restrictor in the kitchen. The restrictors are in the faucet itself, not in the water line. Just take it apart and remove anything that doesn't look necessary then try it out.

Also check for kinks in the flex line under the sink

I don't have low pressure but it sure takes a long time for the hot water to reach the kitchen. It's like I'm wasting water when we are dry camping waiting for the hot water. Has anyone every had a problem with that and did you ever do anything to correct it?

Debbie, I think that is another thread but I have heard the RK's do take awhile for the hot water to reach the kitchen. I suppose it depends how far away your kit sink is from you HW Heater. My HW Heater is near the kit sink so it gets hot pretty quick, however, in the bathroom sink it does take a little longer. I suppose this would really hurt if boondocking and trying to preserve water.

Debbie, as exav8tr points out, the water (tub, bath sink, or kitchen sink) that is the furthest from the hot water heater does take some time to get running warm. It is really noticeable during cooler nights, okkk, cold nights.
I don't remember anyone coming up with a good way around this, maybe they will post if they do.
Rest assured you are not alone in this one.

Len,
We have an older 3295RK and it takes almost no time to get hot water to the kitchen. Of course the HWH is only about 5 or 6 feet from the kitchen sink. We have not had the low water pressure problem so can't help you there.
Good luck.

There was a posting a few months ago about this. I don't recall which washer it was but you take the faucet off and there is a washer of some sorts that you drill out a large as possible. I can't remember the details on it but I have the same problem and plan on taking mine apart and see whats in there. It did warn to not drill out the space but the washer behing it.

Brad,
I have a 2008 3400 with the same problem (same as yours??). I pulled the faucet apart last weekend and couldn't find any flow restricter. Pressure in shower and bath sink is ok. Any suggestions???
Thanks
Ken

Not sure which faucet you have but it sounds like our Big Sky, what Idid was take the hose off the back of the faucet head and check in there, there was a restrictor in that area, I pulled that out and tossed it. The same for the shower head. I tried pulling the kitchen faucet apart but with the sprayer parts in there I didn't find any restrictor in that area. One of the problems with the kitchen faucet is that the hose the runs up through that armored hose is tiny, less than a 1/4 inch, closer to 1/8th inch. That in itself is a restrictor, the low flow in the kitchen is the norm but you can improve it a bit... Dave and Betsy

Ken,
I think your 2008 uses a different faucet than mine, based on the web pictures. Mine is one piece with a pull out head.
