Day/night shades

We are having a problem with a couple of our day/night shades - they won't stay "up". Anyone else had this problem and know how to solve it?

The strings need to be tightened. You can do this by loosening the screws holding the ends of the strings and turning the string lock until there is sufficient tension on the string.
