Finally Comming Out

We are currently Jayco Designer owners, finally got the call we have been waiting for. Our dealer in Idaho called today and said that our new home (2012 3582RL Montana BigSky) has arrived. They will start the PDI this coming Monday, if there is no problems should be ready for us to take delievery soon. We are currently workamping in Lacey WA and our managers are going above and beyond to make sure we get the time we need to travel and spend some time in Idaho to check for problems before we come back to work, we already know there will be a payback coming in Aug.
We will need help posting pics,is there anyone willing to take on the task if we were to email them?

That is exciting for you to get a new home-on-wheels, welcome and enjoy! Take time on the PDI, but if you need to ask anything about it, we are here for you.
Pictures: I would suggest going to the free Picasa site. That site will automatically download your photo's off the computer, then you can select the ones you want to show us and hit one button to take those photo's to the Internet, where Picasa will store them for you...Free.. and you just high-lite the link, and post the link on the Forum.
When you post links, there is a 'Size' up by the format here on the Forum select 1, that way, the link will be small and not be too big for the posting.
Here is a link to a Rattlesnake that struck my leg: Size 1: https://picasaweb.google.com/Jimsue13/RattlerAndGaitors?authuser=0&feat=directlink
Sign in on Picasa, then if you have problems, get back to me.
Good luck with the new toy!

I'm with Ozz here... you should be present for the PDI. You'll want to be familiar with what they do, what they find and ensure you know the most about your rig since you'll be spending more time in it than anyone! I can't imagine a dealer can or will spend as much time is needed to inspect and test EVERYTHING like you would.

Anyway, sorry about the start of the post otherwise congratulations on the new rig and may it be a better experience than your Jayco (and that's a nice rig too)

Enjoy the new unit. We have a 2012 3582 as well and love it. Since we are new to a fifth wheel we are learning a lot by reading things on this forum. There are a lot of great ideas and hints.

Listen to this newbie, as he is very wise. THE ONE THING YOU DO IS BE THERE FOR THE PDI. The dealer could tell you anything, but make him show you he repaired whatever they found!!!!!!!

We envy you both Ron and Sharon on your new 3582 Big Sky...a great floor plan. With experience from previous model you will have good knowledge on what to be aware of on your new rig. Safe and enjoyable journeys!

Congratulations on the new rig. Hope it brings you many years of wonderful memories. There is no substitute for being there for the PDI. On ours, we found a cracked landing gear leg that the dealer hadn't seen and had them replace it.

Thanks all for the good wishes. We won't be able to get back to Idaho in time for the dealers PDI, but I have let them know that there will be no paper signing until we do our own inspection. We will also be staying in the area for a few days after signing just in case something needs fixed.
We really like the Jayco Designer 35 RLTS and it has served us well. It has had its issues as they all seem to over time, but no major complaints. We have been fulltimeing for two years now and the 3582,in our opinion has better features for us (In Our Budget Range),bigger kitchen area, the "John" is seperate, and there is more room to move about the bed.
