Slide Not Opening All The Way

Hello All, I have a Keystone 2003 Everest parked next to me and he is having a problem with his large slide, The bottom goes out like it should but the top will not and you can put your whole hand behind it from about half way up and all the way around to the other side. It does have a awning on the top. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this. OH!! We did check the fluid level and it is not low. He says to thank you all for any information.

I would look up at the top of the slide from the inside. It sounds like something is binding and preventing the top from going out all the way. We had a plastic cover for the fluorescent light on our 03 Big Sky come loose and landed on the top of the slide when in the transport mode. It broke the plastic cover. Move the slide in and look from the top of the steps or stand on a chair or something that will allow for a full view.
Good luck and tow safe.

Linda,

Can the top of the slide be pushed out by hand? If there is nothing up there blocking it and if it can be pushed out by hand, my bet is that the topper is adjusted too tight. It is holding the top in.

Keep us posted.

Dale

Oh ya, Sharon and Bob, I'm still hanging around. I look at this forum almost every day. Just putting my two cents in every now and again.
