Sunken sewer inlet

I have run into a situation a few times where the RV park’s screw in adapter for my 90 degree adapter is in concrete and too low in a dip to screw in my adapter and connect my sewer hose. What do you guys do when this happens? Do they make a riser?

Thanks

I carry a sewer donut for situations like that and also for connections that don't have threads on them.

I have found that most of the time, it is a four inch fitting set in concrete that won't work with the four inch part of the sewer connector. When the fitting is a three inch, usually the next step on the connector is low enough to still work. For the four inch problem, I took an ABS fitting with four inch male threads and and a three inch fitting with three inch female threads. I cut the male thread part of that fitting and the female part off the other fitting, and had to cut off the nubs from the outside of the three inch part and glued the two together. This works quite well, raises the sewer outlet up at least an inch and also utilizes the three inch part of the hose connector. Too bad Valterra doesn't make something like this for these situations.

I like that. I have never run into the problem, but for the price, this would be handy to have.

We have experienced the opposite far too often, sewer hookup is a good 4-6 inches high, impacting smooth drainage. Stayed at the MT Airy NC ( Mayberry) campground, our site dump was uphill, impossible to dump.
