Sue & Ed,
Well.... guess what? Ol' Murphy has left you and come to visit us! On our way here to Quartzsite, (about 50mi prior to getting here), we had kind of a "dejavu" happen to the truck. Remember the problem we & you both had on our way to Lake Siskyou a couple years ago? Yep! Looks as if the injectors have gone out on the truck again!
We actually did turn around and were going to go back to Yuma, but the truck was still running (off and on), and we were soooo close, and after all we did also bring our Jeep, so, we turned back around and finished our trek to the Q.
We were hoping to find a GMC dealer near by, but nooooo, the Internet showed the closest one to be back in Yuma of all places! As it turns out there is a service shop in Parker, but they won't be able to get the parts in time for Mel to go back to work, so we will leave here early and take the truck into Yuma for repairs.
What we did find however was a lot of good friends, with a lot of sympathy which made everything seem right. Well at least until we leave on Thursday and have to deal with the truck again. Do you think maybe ol' Murphy will have left by then?
