Power Washers

Just got back from Costco and they had a Karcher Brand Pressure Washer (1650psi) for $139.99. Anyone out there have any bad experiences from using a device like this? Love to wash my own 5er & truck but am getting older and more tired, love to have something that would help but not damage...
My son- in- law has a 2650psi Pressure Washer that he uses on his house but this may be a little too much for RV washing. Any comments?

I use one have for a long time. Would not crank it up to full pressure as it will cut grooves in concrete.Makesit easier to wash a big unit. You will have to experiment with the pressure ..but not on your Montana.

I don't think I would use a power washer on a RV for several reasons. The extra pressure makes it easy to lift the decals, not sure if you can damage the fiber glass. As far as getting a RV clean, the power washer would only take off surface dirt, it does not do much to lift off the road scum, a good soft bristle brush on a long handle and soapy water I have found is the best way to go. I have a power washer and have never used it on any trailer. My opinion......

I use a karcher with the light nozzle. There is a separate nozzle for power washing decks and such. It is a little lighter pressure than what you would find in a car wash power washer. It does a good job on the rubber roof, also.

Don't waste your money on that one. Your hose will put out more psi than that one will. We had one and took it back. It was a really sad excuse for a pressure washer.

We have a Karcher that is only rated at 1200 or 1300 psi. We use it with the 'softer' nozzle on the Montana and it does a great job but not alone. I wet the side down with a Car wash mix with the Karcher and then use a long handle wash brush to clean it. Then I use the karcher with the 'softer' nozzle to rinse it off. It takes me only about 2 to 3 hours to do the whole rig, even if there are some black streak on the Montana. For stubborn black streaks I squirt them with black streak remover, leave them for a minute and then brush it off. No problem!

By the softer nozzle I mean the one that has the wider spray not the smaller one that is conical in shape and buzzes as it works. That one can bore a hole in anything!
