Recommending a member and their documentaries

I must mention to anyone that has not checked out the web site for Vickie and Steve... YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST LOOK AT THIS!!!
These folks really know their stuff when it comes to setting up an interesting web site with all the pictures and trimmings.... I have spent literally hours looking and reading and wishing I could do the things these folks are doing every day...... their link is: http://geocities.com/stevereigle/
I am sure it is ok with them if I mention them here... they are amazing and really show you the true value and what we are all into.
Keep up the great story telling and the great picture taking....

I "second the motion". Before I ever joined the forum, I found their website and photos. That had a lot to do with my decision to join the forum. I am not much of a "joiner", [Remember Will Rodgers, "I belong to no organized political party, I am a Democrat". I can say the same, then add, "I belong to no organized religious instituion, I am a Methodist minister.!]

Thanks, in part, to the Reigles I joined the forum. That was a good decision.

Very nice web site indeed. For those of us that are not retired yet we find following your travels interesting indeed. Thanks so much.

Thanks for the very nice comments. I have to admit that Vicki does all the creative work. She takes most (99.8%) of the pictures and does all of the narrative. I just prepare the pictures for the postcards and reformat to the website. I have the easy part. I also have to admit enjoying going back to read some of the older ones. It brings back memories I've already forgotten.

Just enjoyed the latest update to your postcards, Steve and Vicki. They are great and Vicki's postscripts make me feel like I'm right there with you. Thanks so much.

Judy and Glen you have a pretty good site yourselves. I enjoy looking at both your sites and making a list of things we want to do when we retire.

Vicki and Steve you really outdid yourselves with the pictures this time. Memories that will never be forgotten.

Thanks, Fordzilla, I'm glad you're enjoying our site. And I hope Alaska is part of your future.

I completely agree about Steve and Vicki's site; what a wonderful documentary of their fulltiming adventures!

I will also say that Marsha made extensive use of their site when she wanted people to see what the Montana we were buying back in March looked like as theirs is the same model and year as ours.

Vicki, I love your new pictures. You are really in the wide open spaces there. I think you're practicing for your future trip to Alaska, what with the changing skies and the dark roads. You should be well prepared after your experiences in Idaho and on the Going to the Sun road.

I posted new pictures on our blog, for those of you interested in pictures from Valdez.

I guess that makes us mutual admirers, Vicki, as I'd say the same about your postcards. Do you have any way to save those pages?

Thanks, Judy. Since the pages on our website start as email messages I send, yes we can save them. In fact, I have all 254 Postcards on my computer. Steve has put the first two years on a CD; we'll just do that every two years or so to preserve them.

What about your blog? Do you have any way to save it?

I'm not sure. That was the reason for my question. Something else to look into.

Judy, besides Vicki having all the postcards on her laptop I also have a folder full of them on mine. And I have a copy of every file involved in the website on my laptop and also do periodic backups. Then there is the cd, which I probably should update soon. The latest postcard went to the website last night but Vicki's working on several more.

Judy, we very much enjoy your site, too. I am behind on seeing the latest but will get there. You are having a wonderful trip that someday maybe we'll take, too.

Meanwhile, see you and Glen in Minden.

Thanks, Steve. We're looking forward to seeing you and Vicki again, too. I have all our pictures backed up but haven't done that with the Blogspot. I also am keeping a journal of our trip which I can backup. Gotta go. We're off to church and then on to Tok. We'll be in touch somewhere, sometime.
