Where do you carry your Satellite Dish?
I am looking for ideas on where and how to carry our satelite dish, I am planning on using the tri-pod I bought awhile back to set-up where needed.
But where do I carry the dish.
Thanks for any in-put.

Ours is in the living room - hee, hee! That doesn't solve anything, does it? Actually, I'll be looking for answers, too. For our trip to Alaska, we took our second recliner out and are using that corner for extra storage of things including Greta's wire kennel. She hasn't slept in it since we left so we put the satellite dish on top of it and secured it with bungee cords. We need a better way of storing it, too.

I take mine off the stand and stow it in the basement. The stand folds up and stores neatly. I probably do not have as much stored there as some folks so space is not critical for me.

Mine rides in the truck bed, wedged between the Yamaha generator and the sidewall. It gets a few scratches, but it doesn't fly out, nobody steals it (yet!), and it's easy to pull out when it's time to mount it. I use a suction-cup mount when I don't have trees in the way - sticks on the side of the 5th wheel anywhere there's a clean spot. When there are trees, I use a tripod to find the best clear shot to the southern sky.

I secure mine in the truck bed with bungee cords. I do not have a tool box so it fits nicely all the way forward.

Our's is just inside the bedroom (back) door beside the bed. I tried hauling it in the p/u bed, but I have a fiberglass cover and not enough room. I was afraid I'd bend it. This is still not a good solution. I'm going to make one of the pvc "low profile" stands someday, but I don't think that will solve the problm either.

Street side large basement area under the bedroom. I also store the collapseable tripod, roaster oven, sat cables, & the 'ol George Foreman Electric Grill & still have room left over.

The dish goes in the truck bed under the tool box (cross bed tool box) and the tripod goes in the TT storage compartment up front.

We have the style that the base and dish fold up flat. I just fold it up and store it in the front compartment next to the battery.

I travel with the dish and the coax roll on a towel on the bed. There has never been any movement in 8 plus years of travels. My tripod folds up and rides in the basement storage compartment.

I store mine, both tripod and dish on the Monty ladder. I use a rachet strap. So far so good.

In our operation, the folding tripod goes in the basement and the dish goes in the left-hand side of the bedroom closet (my side, since I have less stuff) on the floor, generally held in place by the clothing hung there. This is not a perfect solution, but I worry less about the dish and arm being accidently bent in that location than anywhere else.

Ours lays on top of our dogs’ beds, on our bed. I lock a couple of the tripod’s legs open a bit so there’s no chance it’ll roll.
