Recliner won't recline!

Our recliner will recline, but one must keep oneself in a rigid position for it to stay that way and if one relaxes it "pops" up. I have read that others have had this problem. Other than buying a better quality chair is there any way to fix this problem

I love the upholstry colors & design, but hate the overall construcion and quality of the recliner and sofa. Most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I have ever encountered.

I am having no luck in finding a match to the upholstry.

Judging by your signature, the recliner should be under warranty. My first call would be to the dealer and/or the chair manufacturer.
