So, what's with the Cambridge??

I figured we would hear all kinds of stuff about the Cambridge in January. So far, nothing. Anybody know who will be selling them? how they relate to the rest of the Montana line (ie seperate or subset)? Will there be more floor plans than the 3400 clone? Pricing details? Availability?

Vikki thinks we want one

I am hoping that we will see the Cambridge at the Tampa show this week. If so I will try to gather any info that I can in the way of literature and will report back.

After hearing about it here, I went to my dealer to ask. They are looking at carrying the Cambridge, but didn't have any brochures yet. The Chicago RV show is in February and I hope to see one there. I told Terrie that we wouldn't be buying a new trailer ever couple of years, so this will probably be about 5 - 8 years down the road. But its not too early to start looking.

I just did a Google search for it and found that it will be displayed at the Georgia RV and Camper show: http://www.northatlantatradecenter.com/rv.php

I also found that LazyDays has 2 in stock (but no pictures yet):

Just back from the Tampa show. Sun Coast tells me they have "lots of Big Skys" at their dealerships, but none at the show.

Another dealer who sells Montana but didn't bring any to the show (guess Sun Coast had factory blessings) tells me Montana discontinued the Big Sky and the Cambridge is full of problems and won't make it's debut till next year.

Frankly... I don't know if I quite believe any of 'em. Never let a trailer salesman hold your wallet!

I don't see the word "Montana" in any of those Cambridge items. So I guess it's going to be a totally separate line?

My dealer in Birmingham confirmed the deletion of the Big Sky and that the Cambridge would be the replacement. He also stated that he would be carrying them as an upper end on the Montana line unless Keystone decides to market with a different strategy.

Steve -

Our dealer spoke similar to NativeTex. They plan on replacing the Big Sky at our dealer with the Cambridge. But, they were still ironing out the details. I figure that I have about seven years for them to work the bugs out before I buy my next unit.

I swear we saw a Cambridge by Keystone in a campground in Ohio last summer. Are you saying, they are not yet available? I know I saw it because we thought the trailer was very nice looking (gel sides) and then noticed it was by Keystone. They sure have lots of brands out there.

After visiting the Keystone website, I wonder if I saw a Challenger... Does the Challenger look like an upgrade of the Montana with gel sides?

They can take their time. I am not in any hurry to get rid of our Big Sky

The Cambridge is not part of the Montana line and will not be the replacement for the Big Sky but will be a line of it's own. Cambridge will not necessarily be sold by the current Montana dealers. The local Montana dealerin this area is Suncoast RV but the local Cambridge dealer in this area will be LazyDays and as they were not represented at the show neither was the Cambridge. Keystone has delivered 2 Cambridge to LazyDays and both are sold. We were told we could possibly get a look at them as they have not yet been delivered. Didn't have a chance to run over to LazyDays but I will try to get back over on Sunday and get some pics.
There was absolutely no knowledge about any problems with this new line and that they are in production.
The Cambridge will be a hi end 5th wheel in the $80,000 price range.

Due to the fact that the Montana has grown and is now available with all the options of The Big Sky the powers that be at Keystone felt no need for a duplication and so the Big Sky has been discontinued.
