Tripod Question

On the Montana is a tripod really needed? I have an old one from my former Coachman. The kind you raise or lower by spreading the legs. I am thinking the new Montana has a wide space between the front legs thus be more stable. Do most of you take the time to use a tripod if you are only stopped for 2 or 3 days?
