Bedroom TV removal?

I have a 3400RL with the TV over the window in the bedroom. We never watch that TV and was wondering if anyone has removed theirs, along with the useless little shelves flanking it and replaced that area with cabinets. Ideas?

I just replaced our TV so here is what I can tell you. Taking the TV off is easy, just extend it out from the wall and lift and it should slide off the bracket( disconnect the power and cable). The bracket is screwed to the wall so it is easy to remove. There is a boxed area that contains the 12v outlet, that probably would unscrew from the wall as should the shelf(secure and cap the wires). I do recall the the day/night shade is screwed into the bottom of the shelf so that would have to be removed also.

Mike,
You replaced your tv for what reason. Did it fail or did you upgrade it?

I was going to take ours out, but suddenly, Dianna started using it at night. I guess she got tired of my programming.

We agree the shelving on the 2010 in our unit is pretty useless, but we use the TV.
