Total height 3400RL w/ 2nd AC

I would really appreciate the help. I am expecting our 2008 3400RL 10 Anniversary in the next 3-4 weeks. We are looking for a new inside storage location, but are not sure of the actual height with the 2nd A/C unit. Does anyone have that stat that they can share? Many thanks!

We had our AC added after our original purchase, but at our Montana dealer. Our height is at 13' 3" per hubbies tape measure. I would give or take an inch just in case I wasn't holding the bottom of the tape measure correctly I don't want to get blamed for your 2nd AC getting wacked off the trailer.

We have the factory front AC and we are exactly 13' 3" high. Our inside storage is 13'-8" at the door. We measured down from the door opening while backing in.

Nice truck, Brad. Looks like it's sagging a little in the back, you might need some Timbrens on that baby.

13'3" seems to be the average. However you will need to measure it to be sure. It will depend on if you have a low profile 2nd ac, vent covers, sat antenna and also the type truck you are pulling it with. Some trucks sit a little higher than others. How much clearance you set the unit up to have above the bed rails.

06 3400 is 13.3. Note that the 2nd A/C because of where it is is NOT the high point. It is on a slight down slope. The high spot,If you have a vent cover over the bathroon vent, is there..If you have one over the FF, it may be there. I have seen the height reported as high as 13.6

If a bridge is labeled 13' 6" (of course if lower) I will go around if possible, or wait for an 18 wheeler to come through. The height of the box on the typical 18 wheeler is 13" 6", so I've been told.

Now all you mechanical and electronic engineers. Design something that can be installed at all dealer entrances that will measure the height as I (you) drive through. You know, little wires of different lengths hanging down and as the high point goes through it displays a read-out for the driver? Should be a simple circuit for some one to come up with. I've seen them on road ways by different states but I think they use cameras. That would work also. I'd pay a $1 to see how high my Hanna is!

p.s., don't forget my commission. I already lost out on the box end rachet wrench I thought about in 1972.

Edited: According to the Mfg Spec sheet, the 3400RL is 12' 9" with stock configuration. Additional equipment may raise that some.

Yep, that's what I thought too; but I wasn't going to bring it up.

Thank you all very much. Sounds like the answer for the "stock" 3400 is 13'3". My storage unit door is supposedly 13'9". I will measure when it comes in just to be sure. Thanks for all of the great advice!

It is 13'3" with the maxx vent installed over the bathroon vent. Think is like 12'9" without the vent installed.

Hmmm, don't see anything about 3400 height in that post either.

Rich,

Our front AC is 13' 3". We don't have the vent covers.

Our factory AC is the Dometic Duo-Therm Brisk-Air. It is not the "low profile" style. This may have changed for 2008 - I have no way of knowing.

Sorry about getting off topic. Don't want to make anyone crazy. Ours is pretty close to the 13'3, but if you get a sat. dome, it will raise to 13'6" or so.
Also, it depends on the way the truck sits with the Monte hooked up, all are a little different. The dually's hold the height pretty level, a small drop, not much.
Brad, I was not being a smarty, it does look like it dropped a little. As I stated, all drop some.
Sorry if I came across wrong. I apologize.
