This happened to us coming back from AZ pulling the Montana we had. We had the book "Next exit" that listed a diesel station on next exit. Exited and no station. Drove the outer road until we found there was not going to be a station. Had to turn that Montana around on that small black top side road. Got back on interstate and ontinued on to next town and made it driving on fumes. We carry a 5 gallon fuel can now. Also now we do not let the tank get that low.
Truck we have now has a 55 gallon tank so last longer which I am happy about.
