Having trouble with your shades?

I found that to clean the daylight shades, remove the valances, then remove the shades and soak them in the bathtub in Woolite, then rinse and air dry. I learned to do this the hard way after coating 2 of them in dark soy sauce after a bottle of the stuff broke in the cabinet from driving over frost heaves in the Yukon.
