TYE Rv Park, Abilene,TX a passport America park...Tear that page out of your PA book.Whoever wrote the PR for that park had a masters degree in embellishment. The park is shabby and run down and they neglected to say that it is right off the runway for Dyess AFB,Home of the 7th Bomb wing and the B1 Bomber. The B1 does not fly over the park it flies through the park..I kid you not.Just as we finished setting up we heard a thundering roar and looked up and right into the after burners of a B1 on takeoff.It shook the entire camper.That happened 4 or five time during the night. The B1 is a beautiful thing but this was up close and personal.

Boy Rich, you nailed it. We stayed there 5 years ago only because it was a PA park and I wanted to get an oil change at the Ford garage in Abilene. Never again. Those bombers would light up the entire inside of the rig (through the skylight) when they would come in for a landing. When we first got there we couldn't believe what was going on. Bad park!
