Slow Slides

Has anyone experienced the slides retracting slower than normal even when hooked up to the AC? What would cause that? The battery has been removed for the winter, but that should have no effect when hooked to the AC. It hasn't been that cold out either.

Not all conveters are the same but some can be damaged if hooked to shore power with no battery

I would say that is normal, as a matter of fact, I'm somewhat surprised that they operated at all..the converter DC output in not high amperage, esp when compared with the battery output capability.

There is another thread on the same general subject in another section of the Forum. The brand of converter and its features will determine if or how well the slide motor(s) will work off of the converter without a battery installed.

Thanks mpl897, 8.1al and patodonn. That helps. Apparently the battery needs to be in place. The set-up is somewhat strange to me, but, whatever works, I guess.

Battery is required to operate properly.
