Apollo oven and foil...
My manual states that I can use foil in the 1/2 time oven. But, when I did, once, I was scared to keep using it because of all of the sparks (like from using foil in a microwave).
Do you all use foil when using the 1/2 time function?
Thanks,

Hi Mike & Kathy,
I wouldn't think you could use tinfoil in it while in the microwave mode. Maybe OK in the convection mode.
If it sparking, I'd take the tinfoil out.

Didn't use foil in microwave mode - just half time mode.

I think something must be wrong with your half-time oven. We've used foil in ours a lot and haven't seen any sparks.

Are you also using the little round tray that comes with the oven? It is aluminum or some metal. Very important-YOU HAVE TO USE THE TRAY! You can also use foil. I am wondering if you used foil and failed to use the tray?

I think the half time mode uses both convection and microwave. Thought I read something about that in the manual.

I used foil in the convection mode with the metal tray on the glass tray - it also sparked - had to remove the foil. Could there be a difference in brands of foil?

Well, I thought you were safe using the foil as long as you also used the metal tray. Not sure though, because I have only used the half-time oven a couple of times and I didn't use foil. That has got me stumped! I would call the company. They do have an 800 #. Not sure what it is though.
