Roof vent covers on 3295

I have a 2004 Montana 3295. Two of the three roof vent covers have become so brittle that they just cracked and fell apart. I had to duct tape them together until I can have them replaced. Is that normal after only 2 1/2 years?

Can I just replace the vent covers, or do I have to replace the entire vents? I don't see how I can remove only the covers. It looks like they are riveted onto the metal arms that raises and lowers the covers.

Would they be covered by my extended warranty?

I have no idea how to replace them but apparently it can be done.

2 1/2 years sounds a bit short to me. Ours are four years old but they've lived under maxxair vent covers for all that time.
