Shower changes?

Just wondering if anyone has changed the OEM shower to a conventional home style shower, with a fixed showerhead versus the flexible hose?

My home style is with a flexible hose as well. I love it since I am rather height challenged and most showers are installed by 7' men. The hose does help when cleaning the shower as well. Better talk to your other half before you change and consider the cleaning aspect.

Next time you see a Everest take a look at the shower stall. Keystone already makes the stall and sounds like it would fit your needs..and it would fit right in the 3400. I am going to ask the question at the rally..I would like to buy one and do the change over myself..It would not be hard to do..

Rich, didn't you tell me that my shower stall "garden tub" was different from yours? Maybe that was just the drain that you were talking about...

Ours are the same. Our drain is different,T&C replaced ours with a better one and looking at yours I thought that keystone has upgraded yours. Everest puts a really nice stall in their units and in the Everest model I was looking at it looked as if the stall would fit right in the 3400...

Thanks for the input guys! We are new to the site but love our new Montana. So far only minor issues. One of the rain sensors was not working, but went to the roof and found extra solder between contacts on the sensor. Scraped it off with a knife and now it is working fine. Both wife and I enjoy all the posts by everyone. This is truly a great forum.

I've never minded our shower stall but one thing that bothered me was the hose seemed too short. After a long and fruitless search for a longer hose someone on this forum suggested unscrewing the shower head, drop the hose out of it's on the wall bracket, then reattaching the shower hose. Now the hose is plenty long. We've had ours this way for well over three years.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

Another thing you can do that was suggested by our PDI tech is to split the little round thing that is attached to the wall. This allows the hose to come out when needed but can be pushed back in if you want. He did this for his 7 year old.
