Most of us, who full time, use a mail forwarding service. Some of us use the one that a club we belong to supplies such as Good Sam or in our case Escapees. Others use several services located in South Dakota. In all three cases you can also move your residence to those states and there are advantages but there are many personal factors that come into play on changing residences and that should be another thread, or you can check the search function. A number of folks we have met use a relative as a mail forwarding service. We nixed this option because we don't want one of the kids going to that much work when we're having this much fun. Particularly this year when we're complaining about the heat and they're……..

We used American Home Base out of Pensacola since 1998. They do a good job for me. We have Florida residence for taxes and tags. I think we save several thousand dollars a year in taxes. I don't own Florida realestate

DQDick broke it down very well, as he did for us when we were changing to full time status and sold our residence. We knew we wanted to keep an address in Illinois due to favorable license plate fees and health insurance issues, including future Medicare issues regarding what Doctors we could use. Also, Illinois required us to have a physical address on our Driver's License, no P.O. Boxes and such. We had moved everything on-line and paperless plus cut any subscriptions for magazines down or discontinued. Our oldest son agreed to allow us to change our physical address to his, which is within several miles of where we spend 2 or 3 months in the summer anyway. We leave him with large, pre-stamped/addressed envelopes and he simply has to mail one every two weeks or 10 days. So far this method is working very well for us and doesn't seem to be much of a burden for him. You didn't really mention if you were still going to maintain a stick house or not. If you are, then there are ways the USPS will forward mail but I think the duration is limited. Good luck with whichever way you go.

I just use my Sisters Address, I give her a few bucks for postage and she then sends it to me when I want it at any Post Office Via "General Delivery" in the town I am staying at "she has no problem with that and maybe you have a trusted family member that you can do the same, Although I do not get much mail I pay All Bills Online

Follow this link and they can answer anything you have questions for and some you did not know you needed to know.

We have been full-timing for 5 years and they helped us with the transition. Very helpful and...they have an attached FHU campground you can stay in for the ease of transitioning.

We use a UPS Store. They have mail boxes there and this gives you a physical address (Not a PO Box) for drivers license and such. They will forward the mail to where ever you are. Stop in at a UPS Store and ask them to explain their program to you.

Arrange for all recurring bills to be paid automatically, either by bank or credit card. That significantly reduces mail volume. Since 2002, we have used Alternaive Resources for mail forwarding out of Sioux Falls, SD.
