Fleet addition complete

Contributed to the general well-being of the economy this evening. We have officially expanded the water fleet to include the purchase of a new 2009 Seadoo RXT-215 three seater jet ski. Got a great deal from a loca dealer on the ski that is equipped with a 215 Horsepower supercharged intercooled engine that DW has no clue how it will run. I did tell her that the ski has only 5 less horsepower than our boat and I think she started to grasp the power of the ski then. Mid-life crisis pangs are somewhat alleviated now, phewww!! Now I have to get to work on dock additions to have a place to keep it out front. Yippppeeeee!!

Ron, I am still in the market for a ride on top kayak since DW got me a Dick's Sporting Goods gift card for Christmas for that purpose. I have been waiting since Christmas for them to go on sale, but so far they haven't. With the price of gas, the kayak may well get more use than the other members of the fleet!!

Hee Hee, agree on the having fun or getting ready to!! I did show her (DW) and the daughters a description last night from one of SeaDoo's pamphlets. The only one that understood the meaning was the oldest daughter. It describes the ski as having "arm-stretching acceleration." Thank goodness there is a "learning key" with it that limits rpm's and speed (for the women!!) Will get pictures someday, for now it is still on the dealer's floor and probably won't be picked up until mid-April. Gotta build a parking spot for it first, and the river temps are still hovering around 40 degrees here. On a camping note, did get 10 day reservations for a local campground for our annual Easter stay, which will officially start the camping season for us. C'mon Spring!!!

Be careful, jet skis and these do not mix well with boats in the attached picture. Please try to stay at least two casting distance away, because if it is one casting distance away, I will get ya. Just kidding......enjoy!

Nice hole in the water Joe!!! I was debating between a bass boat and the ski. Daughters preferred the ski, discussion did not continue too far after that revelation. I am still in shock DW approved, but definitely not going to complain. Still in search of the kayak, hopefully Dick's puts them on sale soon!! Here is a link to a photo of the same model we purchased:

2009 SeaDoo RXT-215

Now if I can just figure out how to take it camping!!! (DW has already emphatically stated "absolutely not!!)

Not taking that "Boss" bait!!

If Momma's happy, everyone is happy. If Momma thinks she is the Boss and that makes her happy, then everyone is happy. There are only two rules that apply to marriage:

1) Momma is always right.
2) Even if you know you are right and Momma is wrong, keep your trap shut and refer to number 1 above.

Following these two rules will make sure that Momma is happy, therefore everyone is happy. Nothing else matters!!!

I don't even know if I can hold on at full throttle yet, Pam. I definitely don't want any of the women in the family to get hurt. I am positive I will start on the learning key as well, but as for the daughters, they will have to show a lot to get a key that takes the ski to 65 mph!
