Takin' a Break

You'd think we were headed south for the winter, what with all the stuff I've been doing to the camper the last few days (tires, awning lock, 2 6 volt golf cart batteries, and a good wash job), but in reality we are just going to Red River, N.M. for a few days. We plan to pull out around 5 in the morning, and come home Sunday night.

You guys all take care.

Enjoy bud, it's fun doing 'stuff' like that.
We're headed out in a bit too, only this will probably be our last of the season...

Glad you are getting out, I know you work hard there at the tire shop.

Lonnie,

We've never been to Red River, NM...If not to much trouble, a report would be welcomed! We hope you have a wonderful trip.

LonnieB,

Have a great trip. We have never been in that part of the world. I looked Red River up on MapQuest and it looks to be a really small place. Do you go there for fishing or hunting or just sight seeing? Are there some specific things to visit in that area?

Travel safely,

HamRad

Well, the break is over, and it was back to work today. Should've stayed gone, man, what a Monday.

The trip was great, with perfect weather for this time of year, temps in the 60's during the day and 20's at night. No rain, no snow (except in the shaded places), and no wind.

We took several photos, and as soon as I get them resized, I will post them on a new thread, along with descriptions and answers to the questions about Red River.

John, we only have 2400 miles on ours, but if things work out we should have many more by this time next year .

Thank you all for the well wishes.

Lonnie, I hope some of those miles will be to the Branson Rally. There are a lot of us that would like to meet both of you. Glad you had a great time.

I second that one Lonnie as I believe I owe you a drink. Hope to see you in Branson in May. Glad to hear you did get that trip and I do agree, Monday's suck. Someday, every day will be a Saturday.
