StayingHome
With the poor Canadian Dollar we decided to stay home this year. So we asked a real estate salesman what we could expect for our house in the spring but he told us they have a very hot market now and could not say what the spring would bring. So we listed it with him and 2 days later he sold it so we have all winter to settle in. We are moving from Surrey BC, just outside Vancouver, BC to Kelowna, BC in the Okanagan Valley. Have a great winter.

Yes Don, so many of our Canadian friends are changing their plans with the extra cost of going south. Congrats on you house sale and enjoy Kelowna. I imaging the market in Kelowna is pretty hot too with so many snowbirds looking for warmer destinations within Canada such as southern B.C.

Congrats on the quick sale. Here in Victoria the market is very hot as well with prices back up again, good if you own lowsy if you don't. With the dollar down the parks here in Victoria and the lower Island will be filling as we speak with snowbirds deciding to stay north of the 49 Th for monetary reasons. The dollar is one thing but combine that with the health insurance and it is starting to keep alot of folks home as it seems to be getting quite expensive if you have any thing but clear health records. Seems the two spots being favoured are the south Okanagan and here on the Island.
