still not ready

I was supposed to get my montana yesterday. The dealer was adding another ac in the bedroom but when they opened the crate it looked as if the supplier had tried to send a refurbished ac so he refused it and reordered another. I was greatfull they didn't put it on but I really am anxious

It really is hard, especially when you're that close to getting it! That's good your dealer caught the used unit though and didn't just put it in.

One thing you might do while you're waiting for that part to come in, is see if they'll let you start your walkthrough if that's all that's holding it up. That way you're not rushed and can take all the time you want. We didn't want our dealer hovering over us, so we just said it was going to take several hours so if he wanted he could just leave us to it. He got the hint and just let us have at it. We took two days then to go over it and took our time. If you haven't seen it, there is a good walkthrough list on the main page here that will help on your inspection.

Here is the link, then scroll down to "PDI"

Be happy you had a dealer who is protecting you as opposed to one who would put a reconditioned unit in and not tell you.

Sorry for the delay, but be thankful that you have a dealer that will do the right thing!

Mike, here is the short version of our story to get our trailer. We ordered, PDI'd, and purchased our trailer. We couldn't pick it up for a couple of weeks, and when we went back to get it - 3.5 - 4 hour drive each way - it had been stolen from the dealer's lot. We had to reorder the unit and wait another four months to finally drive away our new trailer - Roughly eight months to get the trailer!!
