Montana Newbie in Virginia

A big Hello to all of you! My husband, Brian and I have recently bought our first camper and I mean very first camper. It is a fifth wheel 2007 Montana Mountaineer 307RKD. My husband said I left out what truck we have - it's a 2003 F250 4X4 and he just had new tires and airbags put on so it is sitt'n pretty. Anyway, the camper is 33'9" long which I thought was fairly large but seeing some of your campers here makes this one almost small. I enjoy reading about all the people here and seeing your pictures of family, pets, trucks and of course Montana campers! I can't wait to get on the road for trips of our own but it may be awhile for anything longer than a weekend.

We are taking the camper out next weekend to try out the systems so we can be prepared for longer excursions. See ya on the MOC Board

Welcome. There are some Rallys planned for next year. We hope to see you there. It's a great way to put faces to the people on the forum. Feel free to jump in and ask questions. This is a great resource.

Welcome. This site is packed with a lot of knowledge about every rig in the Montana line. So if if you have any problems along the way these folks can help. We have a 2002 3295RK Montana and we tow it with a 2007 SRW 6.7 Dodge. I have asked many dumb questions and they have helped figure out all of them. Also next time you tow your trailer to the "Great Northwest" look up some of the many members that live in area.

Hi Connie & Brian,

Congratulations on your new rig and welcome to the forum! I'm not too far from where you live. The forum is a great place to get answers to any questions you might have on your new Monty. Please don't hesitate to ask.

Happy RVing!
Lou

Welcome and congratulations, Connie and Brian! As others said, ask any and all questions here. There is no such thing as a dumb question here. I hope you have many years of enjoyment with your new rig.

Connie, you must look into the upcoming 2010 Rally in Hillsville Va, about 250 miles or so south of your area.

Here is the link for the initial info:

http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=36279

Bingo and family are hosting the rally and are truly great folks. Many will be travelling from the Great Lakes rally to the Mid-Atlantic rally in August 2010. Enjoy one of the great forums you'll ever be a part of.

Awww, that is so sweet of everyone. Hopefully, we will meet some fellow RV'ers 'cause we will have many questions.
Thanks!
