LOL! This is absolutely the hardest part of figuring this out. Going to the websites, and figuring out what configuration weighs what. I spent a TON of time doing that when we bought our new vehicle. I finally got to the point that when I had an "answer", I kept that information in a spreadsheet, so I could at least compare one truck brand, configuration to another.

The doorpost is the ultimate answer, and that's important. However, that only helps you when you're buying a used one, or you find a new one on the lot the way you want. If you have to order it, that's when you won't be for sure what the doorpost says.

GOOD LUCK!

I will definitely have to take this 5th wheel to a Cat scale to get accurate weights. My wife just keeps cramming stuff into it and we're not even full timers! Why do we need enough towels to dry off a basketball team and enough coffee mugs to host a football team for crying out loud?

I literally laughed out loud and hard when I read this!!!

However, in my case, I'm probably more guilty than my wife. We have a cordless drill and saw that goes with us everywhere. You never know when you'll need to saw something!!!

I couldn't live without our cast skillet, cast griddle, and full 30" griddle (weighs like 40#) in our rig. All of that is needed to cook on our CampChef outdoor stove. Cast is the only way to go!!!

I have only 1 complaint with our 3761 FL. Front storage, mid unit storage, and the huge rear storage, my wife thinks it all needs filled along with all the interior storage. We are long timers. My only success was a reduction in the 21 pair of shoes she used to keep in the 5er. If all the storages isn't enough, she had me build shelves in some cabinets for more stuff.

3761FL has so much storage behind the axels if the wife likes 'stuff' cement blocks in the passthrough to get 20% pw.

Iron hog the listed pin weight of any camper is always incorrect that's based on an empty unit as it left the factory. Without actually weighing that unit you should use 25% of its gross vehicle weight as the actual pin weight. It shouldn't be more than that but will more than likely be less maybe 20%

Thanks. That is what I am doing for now. We went ahead and pulled the trigger on a dually. It is probably more truck than we need, but as my wife pointed out on the way home from looking at it, she isn't done putting stuff in the trailer yet!
