Posting pictures
I can't seem to figure out how to add a picture to a post. How does one do it?
Thanks,

Joyce, basically, you need a place ON the internet to store said photo, then, you find the URL for said photo, then, you post the URL. Photos need to be downsized before storage online, if they come directly out of your digital camera, they probably are too large for MOC format.
Your best results will be when posting from the "Reply to Topic" button, which opens up the fancy smancy editing window with all the little smiley faces and font choices and such. Along the 3rd line which says, FORMAT, you will find an icon, "insert Image". Believe you need to be in Promt format mode (second line down)
To test, use PREVIEW before posting, then, you can play with the icons all you want and get it the way you want before posting.
IF you want photos in your signature line, that is a different lesson! LOL
Cheers, and good luck.

Here is a tutorial from the MOC home page.
It refers to tinypic.com. But other photo posting web sites are available where you can store your pictures on the web. I typically use photobucket.com, but there are a number of others.

Can't make the rally this year, got started as a member too late and already had commitments. Will be taking the next year as a part timer to end the commitments and go full time. Hope to be there next year and knowing me will still be able to benefit from the class.

As this Topic dealt with an earlier version of the MOC software and a different photo process, a new Thread would have been best.
This question has been asked before. The software support folks here provided the following answer:
Most phones auto rotate the view for the viewer. If you take a pic in landscape orientation the pic will display properly regardless of the way you turn the device. The forum can't do that. Most phones default camera orientation is portrait - folks shoot a pic in the non-default view and it always looks fine to them - they upload the pic here and it displays in it's default view (on it's side).
The solution for most folks to fix this is to open the image holding the phone in portrait orientation, and resave the image on their device. When they upload it here - it should behave correctly.
Some phones have onboard software to fix this issue - some don't. Confusing...
I have found that loading the pics to my PC and then using the View setting "Large Icons" at the Directory level lets you see which pics are rotated. Then you can use one of the photo management tools to rotate the pic before you post it.
