New Brunswick to Goshen

We are considering the Canadian route from Bay of Fundy to Goshen for Rally. Has anyone traveled down 20 thru Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto and enter the US at Port Huron on 402 ? Looks like itís the same difference mileage wise. Any thoughts or suggestion are very much appreciated.

I would stay away from Toronto if I were you, too much traffic. We live in Eastern Ontario and we take I-90 across to Goshen. If I were you, I would take Autoroute 20, then 30 to avoid Montreal, then 20 to the 401. You can cross at either the Thousand Islands bridge or the Ogdensburg bridge. We cross at Ogdensburg because there is less waiting at the border and the guards are nicer.

From Ogdensburg you follow 37 to I-81, then south to I-90.

Another reason to avoid the Toronto route is that the roads in Michigan are notoriously bad.

Thanks Loneoak, another option I have is come back thru ME to Ma and take either I90 or I84. Wondering which route has better roads? Knowing road conditions can change overnight or hourly on the interstates.
