Bigfoot Levelers

My wife is insisting that we purchase the Bigfoot levelers for our Montana, primarily because she doesn't want me to have to kneel down to raise the feet on the front stabilizers. Plus she says that she thinks we will have to stop traveling if I have to do too much bending over to setup and tear down. Any comments yea or nay?

Orv, Don't have and don't need yet, but I know several people who moved to a motorhome because setting up and tearing down the fifth wheel was putting too much physical stress on their bodies. I guess only you would know about that. Does seem like a good system, maybe a little short on the warranty (?) and looks like a very small resevoir for hyd fluid......

I believe Lippert has a hydraulic system that will work on Monty. You might check with them. I think I remember one member talking about converting over. I also think it was pricey.
Let us know what you find.

ols1932, I understand and agree the hydraulic system by Big Foot is a great set up. In 2006 we took our Cambridge to White flint MI to have the Big Foot system installed. However due to not having enought room in the front corners we didn't get the system. We have 6 hydraulic jacks with our (SOB) two are for side to side leveling and the fronts are for front to rear leveling and the rear two are for support. Our system has has been upgrade to remote control system and they are in the process of having fully automatic leveling system. The Big Foot system has the Automatic leveling system. I highly recomend the hydraulic systems. Today I set the 5er down in about 5 minutes and was level all around. If you do get the hydraulic system you will never go back to the electric system. Our system is made by Lippert, just for our (SOB). GBY...

Icehouse has hydraulic levelers - I think HRW. The only downside I could see was it took a lot of mod to get it to fit.

Take a look at HWH leveling systems for RV Trailers.

I was one of the ones that went to MH because of set-up/tear-down getting the better of me physically. It is very nice to pull in, check clearance, push a button, and have everything level in 20-30 seconds. Then it adds 3/4 to 1 inch of height for stabilization. The Automatic system is the way to go, but manual would do nicely also.

I agree that once you have hydraulic levelers you won't go back!
