Max speed is what????
In retirement I work as an EMT for a local paramedic service. Last night, we transported a patient from Sayre, Pa to Philadelphia, Pa. As I was leaving Sayre, I reset ALL the trip information on the Garmin Street Pilot 550 including the maximum speed. All the driving was on limited access highways. On the way home, I checked the trip information and was shocked at the maximum speed reading - 325MP!!!!! I didn't know that old Ford 6 liter would go that fast!! Can't figure that one out.

I knew when I met you at the rally you were a man who could get the most out of any rig.

325 MPH = 325 Minutes the Patient Has to live? (I hope not.)

I've heard of this before several years ago... All GPS are set up for speed preferences for particular roads and sometimes it gets messed up (or someone messed them up). I've not had this problem but have heard it from others in other forums. Only one time I found that someone had changed their settings and then put them back when they complained and someone mentioned they should check the GPS settings.
I don't recall it was 325 mph, but it was something pretty high. You might try contacting Garmin and putting in a question about what the cause could be.

You will probably have no trouble making a convincing argument that you didn't go 325 mph.

Just think, if you could double that you'd break the sound barrier and create a little sonic Boom.

John, I've heard of lead foot but that is beyond that! Does the squad have some good heavy aircraft brakes on it and so you have to call in for landing approval?

This is fun. If it takes 200 HP to pull your camper at 80 MPG it would take 1600 HP to get to 160 and and 12,800 to pull her at 320 mph. You would probably need a better tire than the Marathons. I could make it to Wyoming in 6 hours driving time. Wonder what kind of fuel mileage you would get, probably nothing to write hone about. Oh well I don't think my truck is up to it.
