Not there, but we stayed at New Glasgow Highlands Campground and Cabins ( www.campcabinpei.com) in the summer of 09. Great place, built and run by a retired park ranger and his wife. Super facilities, and convenient location to much of what PEI has to offer.

We just got back from a trip to the Atlantic Provinces and we stayed at Bayside Travel Park, (902) 621-0144.
Very nice campground and it is Passport America but only supplies 15a power w/PA rate. We opted for FHU at $28.

We were there 2 years ago and camped at Cavendish Campground, PEI National Park. It's in Anne's land and was right on the water. The campground has large pull thru sites and full hook ups. I believe it only has 30 amps. We loved it and would definitely stay there again. On our way up we stopped to see "The Hopewell Rocks", we stayed at a Provincial Campground called Headquarters, it was beautiful, large pull thru sites and full hook ups, 50 amps. I found that in Canada the provincial parks were beautiful and very well maintained. Enjoy your trip.

We are planning about 3-4 weeks in Newfoundland in the Summer of 2011--we will stay in PEI also. Our current idea is to cross over to Newfoundland around mid July. Hope to see a few MOCers on the rock.

Tim and Susan. Keep in touch when you head up our way. Hopefully we can plan a meet and greet at a mutual campground.
Stan. We usually stay at Holiday Haven (now new owners - KOA). Real nice place.

Stam amd Emma,
Check with the SA Visitors Center that is just across the street from the Alamo. I like Mission San Jose--the National Park Service has a very nice center there. Along the Riverwalk is La Villita--a small village of arts, crafts, and a few places to eat. For a great view, the Tower of the Americas can't be beat--if you want great food you can eat there also--expect about $40-$50/person. Brackenridge Park has the Zoo and the Japanese Tea Gardens--nice place to get out of the traffic. Have fun--the weather should be great.
Tim
