Bill and Lisa,

David hasn't had a head hit that drew any blood since Pennsylvania.

I guess he's using his head in a better way -- LOL

As I have said before and am repeating what has already been said on this topic, buying a Big Sky for appx 5K more is well worth it. We absolutely love it. We got interested in the Big Sky when we were looking for used units and looked at a used Big Sky. We would probably have purchased it but it was very used by fulltimers for 3 years. We had always liked the Montana after viewing one in Billings Montana 3 years ago. We found out about the MOC and as the Big Sky started getting mentioned, we got very intereted in the Big Sky. I believe this may be the only fifth wheel we will ever purchase, so we wanted to get exactly what we wanted at a good price point.

Monana Sky, you may never find a reasonable priced unit on the west coast that is why we went to Ohio. However, Judyuk got a great deal on one in Washington State. I would get in touch with her. You do have to offset the reduced cost with the problem of getting warranty work done. Some dealers won't take you and others put you at the bottom of their list. The Phoenix dealer has had our unit since July 18 and no promise date in sight.

DW and I have been discussing the Big Sky's. We love our 3400RL but if and when the finances are available, I have a hunch a trade will be in order (Don't start yet on me Kerry!!!!! LOL.). I have showed her the Big Sky on-line and at least got some semblance of interest in response. May not be for a year or two, but it may be in the future. No matter what others say, it is a nice rig with nice options, and I would pull it with the same pride that I pull our Montana. Our Montana suits our needs at present, but a Big Sky would suit them just as well. To those who made the selection, if it suits you, then it was a good choice. To those who never, your selection is still a good choice. Different strokes for different folks.

We are now in our fourth year with the Montana 3400. We love it, but the new rig bug is an expensive disease. We were looking at the rally and really liked the new Big Sky. Talking to the factory guys, they also said that a "comparably equipped" Big Sky would be about $5k more than a Montana. I am not sure if we will buy a new one in the new future or not, but I view the Big Sky as just another floor plan. The reason Keystone makes different models and floorplans is to meet the needs and wants of different customers. If they come out with some of the things we saw at the rally, it will be really tempting.

Anyone know of a Florida dealer that will sell a Big Sky in the $5000 range over Montana?

If you can wait until January be at the huge RV show in Tampa. This show is one of the largest RV shows in the US. They do have some terrific show specials and I know the BS will be there.

We were fortunate to have found the perfect unit for us. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We searched and walked through many different makes and models of 5th-wheels. When we walked into our current unit, that was "The One". Recommendations from others for what appeals to your needs is at best their needs, not yours. Take your time, make your own decision, modify it to your personal needs and enjoy your purchase. Good Luck!
