What a shakedown

Well, we just got in from our first weekend with the Mountaineer 319BHD. The day we picked for delivery ended up having some really nasty rain (last Friday for those of you in NE). An accident on the road we took put us 1 1/2 hours late for our appointment.

The dealer was wonderful (Diamond RV in West Hatfield, MA) and spent 3 hours going over our Monty with us and then loaned us a car to go get lunch while they finished up installing the Superglide hitch in the truck.

I actually expected some price differences being that the dealer quoted us for our trade sight unseen and was 4k cheaper than the other dealer on the same unit. I was surprised that not only did they NOT try to raise the price, they actually wanted less than quoted (they said the registration was cheaper than they expected).

It was about 6pm by the time they got the hitch in and we took to the road. The rain had stopped finally, which was a relief, being my first time pulling a 5th wheel.

After 1 1/2 hours on the dark back roads of Mass, we finally arrived at our campground. Got her backed up, hooked up, ate supper and crashed

We really enjoy the weekend and the Mountaineer and are looking forward to the times ahead.

Impressive!

Your first time pulling a 5th wheel and you backed in and setup in the dark!

So, far I have managed to avoid both.

I am sure you are on your way to many many great trips, congratulation.
