A/C Condensation ??

Just wondering if this is sort of normal or if I should start looking for old caulk or leaks around the main roof A/C unit. (We have a 2005 3400)

We're in Myrtle Beach (Ocean Lakes CG on the ocean) and had the A/C on for over 7 hours today. The temps were in the high 70's and high humidity.

I noticed beads of water on the underside of the living room A/C plastic cover inside the unit, no significant amount, but nothing I've ever noticed previously.

We have run the A/C previously for extended periods in various locales without noticing beads of water. The drainage off the outside of the 3400 looked to be normal for the A/C running so long.

Curious to see if anyone else is/has experienced this.....?

When the ducting; supply diffuser, sweats, it means that the air is heavy with humidity, much like an Iced tea glass, the condensate forms on a cold surface. The nature of a trailer A/C unit is not perfect cooling, it sends out air that is extremely cold, you get into dew point calculations, stuff that puts many to sleep... The bottom line is that with high humidity, poor relative insulation in the space, and an adequately sized A/C unit, it will sweat in certain conditions.
My advice is to run the fan on constant, let the compressor cycle on the thermostat.
I would tell you to worry if it did not sweat, in your operating conditions.
Hope that made some sense....

I agree with Ozz. When we run into that problem, I run the fan on high speed, that has the effect of raising the temperature of the cold air exiting the A/C and helps reduce the condensation. (Same amount of cooling BTUs, but spread out over a larger volume of slightly less cool air).
