Louisville Metro KOA

OK.......for a KOA. Sites are real close together, asphalt pads, long enough for the Monty and the Dodge, parked behind at an angle. $2 / night for cable TV. Free Wi-Fi, good connectivity. Easy access to/from I-65, just barely still in Indiana. Exit is mile 1 inside Indy. Friendly staff, nice store/office. CW and a BIG RV dealership about 200 yds away.

When I was "trip planning", I noticed a railroad shown nearby. Nothing new...it seems to be a requirement of all Campgrounds to be next to a railroad...

When we arrived, I noted that the railroad is only about 50 yards away, and about 50 ft ABOVE the campground level. If a train rolled off the tracks, it would end up REAL close. The good news is that I haven't heard one loud train or a train whistle (diesel horn) all day. Not like the symphony we had in Goshen!!! LOL..

OK place for an "overnighter" or a couple of days..

Well just 10 miles or so up the road is Charlestown State Park and plenty of room, nice sites graveled, full hookups and no trains.

We are only here for 2 nights to visit friends in the LVL area, so won't be moving...not worth the effort. Also, got an 8 AM appointment at the RV dealer (200 yards away), for another (third in three years) toilet water valve replacement..this one only lasted a month. Love the Thetford Service Dept, hate their toilet valves.

Yep, I agree not worth the effort. Man that CW place there has sure received a lot of my money. I'm thinking I should buy some stock in that place.
If you friends get bored with you - the Cesars (SP) Casino is not very far from there. Might as well donate some money. The State of Indiana could use the tax dollars - I guess that is why our state park camping is so high.

Safe journeys - and you got to keep the crapper happy and no body is happy.
