Mice control

Mice Control

On occasion I have read different threads such as storage of RVs or investigating hidden wiring problems , etc., where mice problems have been mentioned.
I had mice problems few years ago and have had great success using a product and wish to share this with anyone out there having mice problems. When I found my mice infestation three years ago, I thoroughly cleaned the droppings , etc., and installed a mice repellent through out my 5th wheel in various places according to the recommended square foot coverage per pouch. Since then I have not seen any signs of the little critters. I now also use this product in the attic space of our home.

This product is called “FRESH CAB”. It is a botanical rodent repellent not a killer, so you won’t have dead mice carcasses left behind. The active ingredient is Balsam Fir Oil which is a botanical pesticide.

I buy it at Tractor Supply in the larger box which contains 4 pouches, this size is more economical. Each pouch is wrapped in cellophane. When the pouch is removed from the cellophane there is a paper / pasteboard product name tag stapled to the pouch. The pouch is much like a tea bag with granules of the product within.

I usually remove the paper / pasteboard name tag, and the pouch unfolds out into what appears to be separations or two compartments within. There is a seam in the middle with a preformation allowing you to separation the two compartments. It doesn’t tear easily so I use scissors to separate the two halves. I take advantage of that to spread out the effectiveness of the aroma / scent which is how the product works. The granular pesticide is not intended to be eaten by the mice, but rather the scent wards them off and they do not want to enter the area. The Scent is not offensive, well not to me, my wife is not crazy about it but says its okay. We primarily use this product during storage. Although, I don't mind the aroma if I leave some of these pouches in the basement area or the belly while we are occupying the RV.

I hope this information is helpful to anyone out there having mice problems.
I’ll post pics of the product in its container and the pouch.
