David, I've had a few friends change out the day/night shades and installed the higher end version of a roller shade. You can get roller shades in both the day shade and the night shade. Many of the high end motor homes and motor coaches have gone to this style shade. Redwood will be making them an option on their 5th wheel, as well as, DRV has them as an option on the Elite Suites. Do a little research, I am sure you will find a few companies out there that you would be able to order them from. I see you are in Coeur D' Alene, I used to live in Spokane and moored my boat at the CDA Resort for a few years before heading down to Lake Roosevelt. Bought many trucks from Dave Smith over in Kellogg ~ beautiful country out there and I sure miss it. Enjoy!

We have. Swapped out in several of our previous trailers for selected windows using wooden venetian blinds cut for us at Home Depot. We always thought it added to the interior looks, matching the wood trim. When we traded in, I dont think dealers even noticed. I would expect that for a 2007 to be sold/traded two years from now, shade type won't have much of an effect on value one way or the other. Like our tow vehicles, these fivers start depreciating as soon as they are driven off the lot. With the blinds, we do have to remember to ensure they are either drawn all the way up, or secured at the bottom, to prevent banging when traveling.

1retired06, I'd like to see a few photos of the wooden blinds you went with in your coach if you happen to have some to share. Sounds like a great idea!

with the 2002, did the front living room windows. In our 2005 with the rear kitchen, we did the back window and it really looked nice. With our 2010, we did the bedroom, both bed sides and the big side escape window. I will have to take a photo.

Not quite sure what to call them, but there are plastic clips with ends that go into holes on both sides of the bottom rail of the blind. These clips go into the wall at the bottom of the window frame where the blinds bottom out. If you dont want to mess with them, (they do break easily), you can just pull the blinds up all the way, on smaller windows when traveling. I'll post photos as soon as I can take them. Home Depot or Lowes will custom cut for you at no charge, for specific window widths, and you adjust the length by removing X number of slats.

Last year we took down the valances (corniest) and I made new ones and we painted them a light yellow.
This year we got rid of the day night shades.
Went to Home Depot and got the good quality blinds, not bright white but a white.
My wife absolutely and I do also love them.
Easy to twist the rod and the shades open up or pull the string and up the shades go, pull the string down they come.
Easy to adjust the the overall lengths, to fit the windows.
I think we spent around $200 for 11 shades.
Easy to clean.
Brightens up the whole unit.
We have also painted all the walls, the rear a aqua color and the slides a light cream yellow, looks like Home.
Well it is Home, we are full timers.
